Hazard Communication, LO/TO & PPE [#0821] Water Wastewater

This course is designed for all operators. It will cover three important safety issues, Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The first portion of the course will focus on helping attendees develop an effective Hazard Communication Program. It will review the hazards and identities of the chemicals to which operators are exposed as well as the necessary protective measures to prevent illness and injury.

The second portion of the course will address LO/TO. When it’s time for maintenance, repairs or retooling of a machine, simply turning the machine off or unplugging it while it is being worked on does not give enough protection for workers. This section of the course will review OSHA Regulations and help attendees with an effective written LO/TO program from beginning to end. If you are new to LO/TO this class will give you the basics you need to know to get your program running, and, for those who are familiar with LO/TO, the class will serve as a valuable review.

Lastly, the course will review the role of and requirements regarding PPE, from selection, maintenance and use to developing a PPE program.
