This THREE-WEEK course is designed for people planning to take the Small Water System Operator, Class I or Class II Treatment/Distribution Exams. The TCHs earned from taking this course can be applied towards the 20 TCHs needed for SWS Operators lacking 6-months of operating experience. It is also approved for Conditional Operator License Renewal.
It is is based on the ACR Introduction to Small Water Systems manual and will help prepare you for the state exams including CT Small Water System/RI Very Small System through Treatment II and Distribution II. Topics covered include: basic science concepts, water sources, treatment, distribution, pumping systems, safety, regulations and monitoring, and applied math.
Participants must bring a calculator to class.
The course is sponsored by the US EPA and is free to all water operators. However, there is a $65 book charge.
