This course is designed for all wastewater operators looking to learn more about phosphorus removal at wastewater treatment facilities. It will review the sources of phosphorus, its effect on water quality, current and pending regulations, types of phosphorus removal, and the impact of phosphorus removal on process control, solids handling, operating costs and ability to remove nitrogen. The course also includes a jar test demonstration and review of several case studies.
