Source Protection
ASRWWA's Source Water Protection Program provides technical assistance and educational outreach for communities and water systems. The program is designed to help prevent sourcewater pollution through voluntary practices implemented at the local level, in both Rhode island and Connecticut.
We work with community water suppliers and local citizens to develop Source Water Protection Plans that promote and protect clean ground and surface water supplies. These plan includes tasks such as education and outreach, training, ordinance development, grant writing and other related tasks.
