Source Protection
ASRWWA's Sourcewater Protection Program provides technical assistance and educational outreach for communities and water systems.
The program is designed to help prevent sourcewater pollution through voluntary practices implemented at the local level. Marc Cohen, ASRWWA's Sourcewater Protection Specialist, works with community water suppliers and local citizens to develop Sourcewater Protection Plans that promote and protect clean ground and surface water supplies. These plan includes tasks such as education and outreach, training, ordinance development, grant writing and other related tasks.
